She will continue to study at Javelina Nation as she plans to pursue her MBA here at Texas A&M-Kingsville beginning next spring. Silva continued her educational journey and today received her master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Throughout her college career, she was listed multiple times on the President’s List, Dean’s List, and Honor Roll and was a recipient of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers-Nueces Chapter Undergraduate Student Scholarship Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas, Corpus Christi Chapter Scholarship and Romeo Rene Perez Academic Achievement Engineering Scholarship. Alongside these positions, Silva had the opportunity to be a Javelina Camp leader for five years, was a Student Ambassador for Javelina Nation social media, and a current Sweetheart of the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity. Silva was the philanthropy and social chair for the Society of Women Engineers corresponding secretary of the engineering honor society, Tau Beta Pi secretary of the Engineering Student Council treasurer of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and corresponding secretary and vice president and current president of IEEE-HKN. She also was involved and had leadership positions in several organizations on campus. She enrolled here at Texas A&M-Kingsville and received her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in spring 2022.Īs an undergraduate, Silva served as a student worker with the Office of Student Activities, where she organized and co-hosted family orientation for the incoming first-year classes and was a student member of the Family Weekend Committee. Lauren Myrna-Renee Silva was born and raised in Corpus Christi and attended school in the Calallen ISD. He plans to become a Doctor of Pharmacy in order to work as a clinical pharmacist and become a business owner in real estate development. Tijerina also served as a Javelina Camp pack leader for two years and served on the Executive Board for Javelina Camp as the Director of Staff Development. He is a member of Order of Omega, an honor society for Greek Life Members. He also has served many positions on the Interfraternity Council including President, Secretary, and Vice President of Judicial Review. He also was recognized internationally for being a member of the Delta Chi Law Committee and was named Delta Chi of the Year in spring 2023. Tijerina served in the following positions for his fraternity, Delta Chi: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Associate Member Counselor. He also was honored to assist in teaching General Biology II, Microbiology, and Anatomy and Physiology. While an undergraduate, Tijerina had the privilege to conduct research for both the Chemistry Department and the Biological and Health Sciences Department. He has been awarded many scholarships throughout his academic career including but not limited to the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Regents Scholarship, the Academic Excellence Scholarship, the Welch Foundation Scholarship, and the Dream Come True Foundation Program. Today, he received his bachelor’s degree in biomedical science with a minor in chemistry. He graduated from Falfurrias High School in 2019, attended Coastal Bend College in Fall 2019 and transferred to Texas A&M University-Kingsville in Fall 2020. He has four siblings Sergio, Diego, Sofia, and Anela Tijerina. His parents are Marcos and Nakita Tijerina. She received her master’s degree in electrical engineering.Ĭhristopher Robert Tijerina was born and raised in Falfurrias.
